Phillippa Brooklyn | Head Receptionist 

Phillippa joined Alma Veterinary Hospital as Receptionist in June 2007. Phillippa was promoted to Head Receptionist in June 2010 and is responsible for managing reception, dealing with insurance claims and client accounts on top of her normal reception duties. Before joining us Phillippa worked in the catering industry but has always had a strong passion for animals. Out of work Phillippa enjoys reading novels and socialising.


 Fleur Strudley | Receptionist


  Fleur joined our reception team in November 2014. Before    joining us at Alma Fleur worked as an assistant manager in a  local pet shop /garden centre. Prior to this Fleur studied animal  management at Berkshire Agricultural College which has given  her  great back ground knowledge for her position with us. At  home she has a german shepherd called Riley who keeps her  very busy in her spare time.


Lizzie Parsons | Receptionist

Lizzie Parsons

 Lizzie started with us as receptionist in December 2014. Lizzie previously studied equine management at Merrist Wood College in Guildford. From here she spent 3 years working for Travelex in Reading as a dual site manager. Lizzie has always wanted to work in the animal industry and is loving being part of our team. Lizzie has a keen interest in horses and regularly enjoys pleasure riding. She is otherwise kept busy with her 3 cats and 2 dogs.



Vicky Gibbs  |  Receptionist

Vicky Gibbs

Vicky has been part of our team on and off for many years. She initially joined the practice in 1999 as a receptionist (although she had done some work experience here previous to that!). A year or so later Vicky then began training as a veterinary nurse. Vicky then left us to go and work for her families business which she still does to date. Vicky re joined our reception team in 2012 on a part time basis, you will normally see her here on a Saturday morning. Vicky lives with her fiance and her Jack Russell terrier Alfie. When she has some spare time she loves to go camping in her camper van.


Heather Murray-James | Receptionist


Heather Murray-James

Heather initially joined us as receptionist in 2003. She was a full time member of our team for 4 years before going to work in a school which her daughter attended. Heather then went on to set up her own dog walking and grooming business which she still does to date.  Since leaving her permanent role with us she has continued to help us out on a part time basis, usually on Saturday mornings and helping Natalie with puppy parties. Heather lives with her husband 2 daughters and her private zoo of pets! Heather also does a lot of work with local charity people and pets.
