Temporary Service Measures

Here at Alma Vets, we have always taken pride in providing an excellent level of care to you our clients and your pets. Over the past two years, we have seen increased pressures within our industry, which has led to shortages of veterinary staff both within our practice and other practices across the UK.

As we are dedicated to providing an excellent service to our clients and our patients, there will be changes to the current way in which we provide our services. This will help to support our team in the delivery of service, with minimal interruption or delay to your pet's care.

Please familiarise yourself with these updates below:  

  • If your pet is due a booster vaccination, these will be booked in 3 months after their due date. The manufacturer recommends that boosters are done within six months of the due date so, there is nothing to worry about. However, if the booster vaccine is required urgently for kennels or travel, please give us a call
  • Repeat Prescriptions, emails and non-urgent phone calls will be responded to within 72 hours
  • Your first point of contact remains our hospital
  • We are not currently registering new clients
  • We have lots of great online resources such as our online shop, online payment, video vet service and more available via our new client hub. Take a look here

Rest assured that these are all temporary measures and we expect to be able to resume normal services soon with apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We would like to also thank you for your continued patience, support and understanding during this time.
