This is the lovely Evie who came to see us this week. Evie's owner had noticed a mass on her flank. After examination our Vet Melanie thought the mass was most likely to be either an abscess, or a granuloma from a foreign body. She decided the best course of action was to remove it, so admitted Evie to hospital.

After excising the mass Melanie discovered the cause was indeed a grass seed.

Be sure to check your dogs carefully for grass seeds after walks in the grass. Grass seeds can migrate quickly and quite far once they've entered the body.
